BELT CONVEYOR INTERMEDIATE VACUUM DRIVE

FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in all branches of industry where belt conveyors are employed. Proposed intermediate vacuum drive of belt conveyor includes drive and guide drums over which pull belt is passed arranged under carrying run of conveyor belt on chute-like support base and provided with cross blind slots-channels and holes located in pairs at both ends of channels. Chute-like support base consists of bottom and side inclined parts. Bottom part of support base is made in form of rollers installed at interval within the length of drive horizontally and across its longitudinal axis. Rollers are secured by their axles in brackets installed on cross members of drive frame. Side parts of support base are made in form of solid-sheet planer members located over entire length of belt friction contact and connected by their lower edges with brackets secured on frame of vacuum drive, and by upper edges, with screw jacks. Longitudinal bars are arranged widthwise on each planar member from side of pull belt to form spaces communicating with holes of belt and connected by union and hoses with suction pipeline of vacuum pump. Spaces are hermetically closed by stoppers at ends of belt friction contact, playing the part of lower pressure chambers. Support surfaces of longitudinal bars and stoppers are lined with low-friction material from side of pull belt.
