PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching hub for disabling repetition of data among subordinate repeaters or terminals on the side of a branch line connected with all user ports set as One-Way-VLAN when an uplink port becomes link down. SOLUTION: In the switching hub 1 having an uplink port 44u to be connected with a host repeater on the side of a main line or a back bone 43, and user ports 44a to 44e to be connected with the subordinate repeater on the side of the branch line or terminals 45a to 45e, and by which an One-Way VLAN function which does not repeat the data among the user ports 44a to 44e is set in the user ports 44a to 44e, the uplink port 44u is periodically monitored and when the link down of the uplink port 44u is detected, all the user ports 44a to 44e set as the One-Way VLAN are linked down.
