PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer means in which an application directly transfers data about a user space between the application and a network adaptor without interposing an OS memory space in DMA (direct memory access) transfer. SOLUTION: The network adaptor 9 is provided with an adaptor control part 40, a DMA control part 12, a transmission buffer 11, a reception buffer 10, a transmission control part 30, a reception control part 20 and a network transmission/reception part 50. The adaptor control part 40 is provided with a transmitted DMA control information holding part 42, a received DMA control information holding part 41, a buffer transmission control information holding part 44, a buffer reception control information holding part 43, a transmitted buffer management information storage part 45, a present address holding part 46 and a divided block information holding part 47 and creates transmitted DMA control information, received DMA control information in a processing for giving control information of transmission/reception of data with a processor 6, etc., a processing for starting data transmission of a transmission control part 30, management of data received by the reception control part 20 and a DMA transfer processing from a memory 2 or the transmission buffer 11, the reception buffer 10 to the memory 2.
