PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equally perform input/output services without being biased to a specific port even if channel buses between channels and input/output ports are different in velocity. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. 2 (D), while a specific channel device B is coupled to an input/output port B by a route control part 46, if another input/ output port A is given a start request by another channel device A, a retry interruption processing part 74 responds with a retry status from the input/ output port B and uncouples the port B from the channel device B. When the coupling of the port A to the channel device A, presently being processed, is completed, the processing part 74 gives an interruption notice of retry start from the port A to the channel device A, thereby causing the start request to be retried.
