PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device being a communication terminal device simple body in ordinary communication circumstances dispensing with other special installations and equipped with an electronic mail communication function for automatically detecting anomaly in communication conditions. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with mail receiving means 25 and 21, mail transmitting means 26 and 21, mail producing means 27 and 21, a timer means 10, an annunciating means 7, and a control means 11 for producing an electronic mail for confirmation addressed to an own mail address 12 and transmitting it by the transmitting means 26 and 21 if any electronic mail is neither transmitted nor received before a first set point of time T1 measured by the timer means 10 is passed while performing control to cause the annunciating means 7 to annunciate communication anomaly if the electronic mail for confirmation is not received by the receiving means 25 and 21.
