<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound information providing/selecting apparatus capable of being compatible with switches of various forms. <P>SOLUTION: The sound information providing/selecting apparatus is provided with: an operation member 1 for operating a device 9; sound output means 4, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b for outputting sound; and a sound control means 2 for defining a sound space around a user in response to the operation member 1, placing a plurality of virtual sound sources corresponding to a plurality of choices of the operation member 1 to the sound space, and allowing each virtual sound source to output sound information of the choices corresponding to the operation member by using the sound output means 4, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, and the user uses the operation member 1 to select a choice and controls the device 9 according to the choice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
