REFLECTING PLATE AND REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflecting plate easily and effectively imparted with directivity without forming its sectional shape to an asymmetric shape by subjecting the plate to an ordinary photolithography process step. SOLUTION: The reflecting plate has ruggedness on the surface of a substrate, in which the sectional shapes of projecting parts (UNEP) or/and recessed parts (UNEM) are substantially symmetric flat patterns formed of curves and the plane shapes of the patterns are dotty or cord-like flat patterns exclusive of a perfect circle and regular n-gonal shapes ((n) is a natural number). The flat patterns having longitudinal direction components in the major axis direction thereof are formed more than the flat patterns having the transverse direction components of the plane of the reflecting surface.
