PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having excellent hue, wherein a transmission light quantity of a blue color is increased. SOLUTION: The polarizing plate comprising a polarizing film and a protective film and having (a)≥35% transmittance of parallel light having 500 to 700 nm wavelength, (b)≥4% transmittance of orthogonal light having 420 nm wavelength, (c)≤2% transmittance of orthogonal light having 500 nm wavelength, (d)≤0.01% transmittance of orthogonal light having 570 to 700 nm wavelength and≥20°and <70°angle formed by the slow axis of the protective film and the absorption axis of the polarizing film.
