PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, as for the celestial (constellation) navigation software, it is necessary to input position (coordinates) data and direction (azimuth) data as setting data, and a user has to input data by reading the position (coordinates) and direction (azimuth) according to the map and azimuth magnet for the setting data, and so it takes much time for setting or a mistake in inputting data is caused. SOLUTION: A car navigation system capable of displaying the current position and direction of an automobile by GPS or a magnetic sensor is started to extract the position (coordinates) and the direction (azimuth) data, and the extracted data is taken as setting data for celestial (constellation) navigation software, thereby realizing this celestial (constellation) navigation not requiring the examination and input of the position (coordinates) data and direction (azimuth) data.
