PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which a door need not be opened/closed when the temperature is adjusted, the temperature is displayed at an easily viewable position, and a temperature adjustment unit is disposed at a position to cope with any mischief by children, shocks during carriage or transport, or shocks when the door is opened. SOLUTION: In the refrigerator having a temperature adjustment unit having a function of setting the temperature in the refrigerator and a function of displaying the temperature, an operation unit of the temperature adjustment unit comprises one chamber-selection switch to select a chamber to change the temperature setting or the set time, and a change switch to change the set temperature and the set time of the selected chamber. After the chamber- selection switch is firstly operated to select the chamber for setting, the change switch is secondly operated to change the adjustment of the temperature and the time. When a predetermined time is elapsed after operating the chamber- selection switch, the change of the set temperature or the like by operating the change switch is fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
