ANTIGLARE FILM AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scintillation (glare) when an antiglare film is applied on a high-definition display without decreasing transmission sharpness or contrast of an image by the antiglare film.

SOLUTION: The antiglare film has a multilayer structure formed by successively depositing, as required, a light diffusing layer 3 and an antiglare layer 4 on a transparent base film 2. The internal haze of the antiglare film is 35 to 75 and the total haze is 45 to 85, with the total haze larger than the internal haze. The light diffusing layer 3 and/or the antiglare layer 4 contains light transmitting fine particles. The light transmitting particles have low refractive index coating layer around the surface.
