PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil analyzing method and an oil analyzer, which can carry out vaporization of an oil extractant safely and carry out analysis accurately. SOLUTION: In the oil analyzing method, oil components in liquid are extracted by the oil extractant H thereby making an oil extract, and then the oil extractant H is vaporized from the oil extract, and residual components are burned up thereby generating carbon dioxide for measuring the oil components therefrom. The method uses a combustion furnace 1 having an opening section 7 at one edge side, a heating section 8 at the other edge side and a carrier gas introducing opening 9 for introducing carrier gas between the opening section 7 and the heating section 8. In the combustion furnace 1, the carrier gas being introduced from the carrier gas introducing opening 9 is separated so as to flow in the both edge sides of the combustion furnace 1, and the vaporization of the oil extractant H is carried out at a position closer to the one edge side than the carrier gas introducing opening 9, and the combustion of the residual components is carried out at the heating section 8.
