PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of making automated installation of a core assembly of a radiator for a two-wheeler using an automatic machine. SOLUTION: A connecting pipe 5 is inserted into an inserting hole 4a from outside a header tank 4, and a projection 5a is fitted in a hole 4c. A notch 5b is formed at the root of the projection 5a so that it 5a can be displaced inward easily. This enables the connecting pipe 5 to be easily fixed to the header tank 4 provisionally, so that erection of the core assembly does not require any space or fixture for holding the connecting pipe 5, and it is possible to make automated erection of the core assembly using the automatic machine before the pipe 5 is installed on the header tank 4. This leads to a reduction of the man-hours for manufacturing the radiator 1, whose manufacturing costs can thus be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
