PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method and tool for a device consisting of a bunch of fin-equipped tubes capable of washing the tube bunch to its innermost part satisfactorily. SOLUTION: The washing tool of this washing method the fin-equipped tubes is inserted into gaps between the fin-equipped tubes 1, corrects or expands the gaps between the tubes, and removes the ash, scale, etc., attached to the tubes 1 while the washing water is spouted from a washing nozzle 2 inserted into the gaps between the tubes. The shank of the washing tool has such a plate thickness capable of being inserted into each gap between the tubes and correcting it or expanding and a thickness equal to or greater than the outside diameter of the nozzle and below the gap dimension, and the tool is made of a steel member of such a form that the forefront of the shank is made thinner.
