PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type submersible motor pump wherein the inspection of its submersible motor part is performed easily without exposing the upper bearing to a high temperature. SOLUTION: The vertical type submersible motor pump includes a drive motor equipped with a rotor 1 fixed to a shaft 2 supported rotatably by a pair of bearings 5-1 and 5-2 and a stator 3 fixed to a stationary bracket 4-1, wherein the drive motor is accommodated in a dry atmosphere, and an impeller 6 coupled with the shaft 2 is driven by the motor. The rotor 1 and the stator 3 are arranged in such a way as overhung over the bearings 5-1 and 5-2, i.e., as ranging outward from over the bearings 5-1 and 5-2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
