<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for more surely realizing packet retransmission between repetition nodes even in the case of a packet communication network in which the communication path is changed at any time. <P>SOLUTION: A packet repeater is provided with a repetition part, a temporary storage part, a retransmission requesting part and a retransmission part. The repetition part transmits a packet received from the previous stage via the packet communication network to the following stage upon adding address information of it (repetition node) to the packet. The temporary storage part temporariry stores the packet to be repeated by the repetition part. The retransmission requesting part reads the address information indicating the previous stage from packets before or after packet loss when the packet loss is caused in the packet to be repeated by the repetition part. Furthermore, the retransmission requesting part transmits a retransmission request to the previous stage indicated by the address information.
