PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing the band width of a network for supplying the respective stream data to be outputted by a plurality of communication apparatus having the total band width wider than band width provided by a network system without trouble. SOLUTION: The management method of the band width of the network manages the band width of the network in which the plurality of communication apparatus that select the band width for communicating data from a plurality of kinds of band width are connected. The communication apparatus transmits the selected band width to a management device (S21), the management device receives the band width (S11), when the received band width (S11) is larger than the communication bandwidth of the network as a result by comparing (S12) the received band width with communication bandwidth of the network, calculates quantity of shortage of the band width (S14), transmits the calculated quantity of shortage to the communication apparatus (S15) and the communication apparatus selects bandwidth so as to dissolve the quantity of shortage (S26) when the quantity of shortage is received (S24).
