PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an organic electronic device having a high mobility by an easy process. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the organic electronic device comprises a step of forming compounds represented by formulae (Ia) and/or (IIa) by desorbing an ethylene derivative from a bicyclo compound represented by formulae (I) and/or (II), wherein R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>8</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a univalent organic group, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>2</SP>do not form a ring by being bonded to each other, Q<SP>1</SP>, Q<SP>2</SP>are each bivalent organic group, Q<SP>3</SP>, Q<SP>4</SP>are each a univalent organic group, and each of R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>, Q<SP>1</SP>and Q<SP>2</SP>and/or Q<SP>3</SP>and Q<SP>4</SP>, may form a ring by being bonded to each other.
