PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device that suitably gives information on the movement of a mover, and prevents annoyance due to unnecessary information. SOLUTION: According to the map information, a moving route from the current position to a destination is set. According to the map information, a running road for running a vehicle, a branch position in the course of the running road, and the passage information on the characteristic of the branch road connected to the branch position are obtained by a passage information obtaining means 21. The obtained passage information is collated with the condition information stored in a condition information storing means 22 by an identity determination means 23, and the number of points related to the concerned condition information are added and subtracted to obtain the total number of points. When the point total number is larger than the threshold, the branch path of the moving route is determined to be a proper route, and guidance for running by an informing means 18 is regulated, and when it is smaller, it is determined to be an improper route so that information should be given.
