PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database management system having a structure facilitating a design and a change. SOLUTION: This database management system comprises data access means for accessing to database, an item table means describing a correlation between data items and the data access means, a determination means determining the data access means corresponding to the data items by referring to the item table means, an access booting means obtaining the specified data by booting the determined data access means, a storage means storing the obtained data by linking with the name of the data item or the name of a record, a determination means determining whether or not the specified data are already stored in the storage means, and a control means obtaining the stored data in the storage means when the determination means determines that the data of the data item are already stored in the storage means.
