PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately start reading of a next original or to end reading thereof according to users' circumstances. SOLUTION: A 'presence/absence of the next original' and a 'time up time' can be previously set as initial values and the original is set (ST1) in an FBS and the original is read (ST4) by operating a start key (ST2). In succession, whether there is the next original or not is decided from the initial value (ST5) and the reading of the next original is successively started by pushing down the start key in the case of the presence of the next original. When an end key is pushed down (ST7, ST11) without the push down of the start key, original transmission is started by ending the reading (ST12). In case there is no next original in ST5, or in case the time key more than the time up time is not pushed down in the setting of the presence of the next original (ST5, ST6, ST10), the reading is likewise ended and the transmission is started (ST12).
