PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card holder, in which fitting and taking-out operation of a card can be executed simply and surely, without causing breakage or the like, and portable terminal provided with the same. SOLUTION: When an SIM card 21 is inserted to a recess 3 for fitting the card formed to an opening 2 of a case 1 of the portable terminal, the SIM card 21 is held by a sliding type card lock 7. The card lock 7 to hold the inserted SIM card 21 is fixed surely by a card lock stopper 20 of a battery 19. In order to replace the SIM card 21, the card holder facilitates card replacement, by being raised upward by a slope 15 of the recess 3 for fitting the card, and at the same time, by sliding the sliding type card lock 7 in the rear direction.
