PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy various output conditions with respect to a direct-current power supply unit, having a plurality of direct-current power supply portions. SOLUTION: The direct-current power supply unit comprises a plurality of the direct-current power supply portions 1-1 to 1-n, such as switching power supplies, whose basic constitution is such that the output voltages V1 to Vn are identical and output currents I1 to In are identical; switching circuits SW1 to SW(n-1), comprising FETs or the like which connect the direct-current power supply portions 1-1 to 1-n to output terminals via diodes D11 to Dn1, and D12 to Dn2 for reverse current blocking and further connect the negative terminal and the positive terminal of adjacent direct-current power supply portions; and a control circuit 2, which selectively controls the switch circuits SW1 to SW(n-1) in accordance with the set conditions for direct-current output voltage Vout and direct output current and controls the state of series, parallel, or series-parallel connection of a plurality of the direct-current power supply portions 1-1 to 1-n.
