PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifier, where the reliability on the electric connection between the hook of an armature piece and a lead wire is improved. SOLUTION: This rectifier 30 has an armature, which includes a base 16 fixed to a shaft where an armature is fixed and a plurality of armature pieces 31 arranged in circumferential direction at the outside periphery face of this base 16, a plurality of coils 6a and 6c are hooked on a hook 10 bent on one side of the armature piece 31 by fusing, a recess 32 for storing the plural coils 6a-6c compressed and transformed by the bending of the hook 10 is made in the armature piece 31, and an incline whose depth dimension becomes larger as it goes away from the base of the hook 10 is made at the recess 32.
