New solid emulsions (I) comprise: a thermoplastic elastomer, selected from styrene-olefin-styrene and styrene-olefin block copolymers and their mixtures; an oil phase comprising a liquid plasticizer; an aqueous phase; and an amphiphilic ABA type block copolymer (II). New solid emulsions (I) comprise: (a) a thermoplastic elastomer, selected from styrene-olefin-styrene and styrene-olefin block copolymers and their mixtures; (b) an oil phase comprising a liquid plasticizer; (c) an aqueous phase; and (d) an amphiphilic ABA type block copolymer (II), in which the terminal A blocks are polystyrene and the central elastomeric block B is an ethylene-butylene copolymer block containing grafted hydrophilic side-chains of formula -CH(COR1)-CH2COR2. R1, R2 = hydrophilic groups of average molecular weight less than 10000, selected from MeO-(CH2CH2O)n-, HO-(CH2CH2O)n- and HO-(CH2CH2O)a-(CH(Me)CH2O)b-(CH2CH2O)a-; and n, a, b = integers.
