The seat (2) is connected to the vehicle floor (10) which comprises a housing (11) having opposite transverse edges (111,112). The housing has an upper half (113) close to the floor and a lower half (114) distant from the floor. In the deployed position the seat is located above the floor and in the folded position is in the housing. The seat comprises a footrest (20) able to move between a top position where the largest part of it extends into the housing upper half and a low position where it extends into the housing lower part.
