PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerometer having a good temperature characteristic which has stable performance even under a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: In the accelerometer in which a frame 11 for supporting a pendulum 12 through a hinge 13 is held by a pair of housings 14 and 15, electrodes 23 formed on the both surfaces of the pendulum 12, electrode surfaces 14c and 15c formed on the housings 14 and 15 facing the electrodes 23, and the displacement of the pendulum 12 is measured by changes in the electrostatic capacity between the electrodes 23 and the electrode surfaces 14c and 15c, to conduct the housings 14 and 15, a C-shaped outer ring 31 is fixed onto the outer surface of the housings using a conductive adhesive. Therefore, thermal stress of the outer ring 31 can be reduced, and no crack causing deterioration of continuity is generated in the conductive adhesive. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
