PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber component, etc., which has a structure with a high degree of freedom of design as an intermediate member for optically connecting optical function components having different MFDs (Mode Field Diameters) without increasing connection loss. SOLUTION: The optical fiber component (100) includes an optical fiber (200) whose end surfaces are both polished and the optical fiber (200) is provided with a 1st MFD conversion part (210) which changes a mode field diameter at an end part including its one end surface (211) and is also provided with a 2nd MFD conversion part (220) which changes the mode field diameter at another end part which faces the end surface (211) and includes the other end surface (221).
