<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic appliance in which the number of parts is decreased to suppress power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The appliance has a main LCD panel 2 in the receiver side of a chassis 1 and has a sub LCD panel 3 on the upper face when the appliance is folded, with the main LCD panel 2 and the sub LCD panel 3 provided with respective back light 4. A light guide plate 5 constituting the back light 4 is disposed on the back of the main LCD panel 2 and further curved and continuously disposed on the back of the sub LCD panel 3. A light source 6 composed of a plurality of LEDs is disposed at the end face of the light guide plate 5. Since the single light source 6 is used for illumination in this invention, the number of parts can be reduced to suppress power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
