<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe the whole observation region in a short time without deterioration of combination efficiency of received light during observation. <P>SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a radiation part 001, a transmission/reception part 002, a signal processing part 003 for calculating a Doppler velocity by applying signal processing to a received signal outputted from the transmission/reception part, and detecting micro burst from a space distribution of the Doppler velocity, a driving part 005 for scanning the radiation direction of a radiated electromagnetic wave, a control part 006 for controlling and monitoring each part, and a beam direction setting part 101 for determining the radiation direction of the electromagnetic wave. The beam direction setting part sets discretely a plurality of beam directions wherein the inside of an optional micro burst having the diameter larger than the minimum diameter which is a monitoring object and positioned in a monitoring region can be observed by the prescribed number of beams or more. The driving part receives a set result at the beam direction setting part through the control part, and observes each set direction in due order by the fixed beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
