PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording technique by which even information before the information can be recorded after applying a power source can be recorded into a recording medium. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an EEPROM 105 holding information about a recording medium 107 even in a state in which a power source of an information recording device 1 is cut off, and a memory 108 storing information. A microcomputer 104 judges whether information can be recorded in the recording medium or not based on information about the recording medium 107 held in the EEPROM 105 while recognition processing is performed, when the microcomputer judges that information can be recorded, stores information in the memory 106 while performing recognition processing.
