PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data decoding method, a data decoding circuit, and a data processing device provided with this circuit which can process data at high speed even if a coefficient of partial response is increased. SOLUTION: A data decoding circuit 15 for reproducing and processing data of a digital signal is provided with a data discharging means 15a discharging data with a unit of a plurality of bits with a clock frequency for read-out when reproduction processing of data is performed, and a means 15b for decoding processing the data with a clock frequency of one divided by the plural number or more making a plurality of bits discharged by this data discharging means 15a as one group.
