PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a bank of a door 10 forms an obstacle and a hand is touched even when an ice storage container 9 is almost outside a refrigerator if an ice-making chamber is arranged upwardly in a conventional refrigerator with an automatic ice-making device, or ice cannot be seen by a small child unless the child looks in from a side, the container must be held by hand or placed otherwise when ice is placed in the container, and the door is kept open for a long time when ice is shifted to a plurality of containers, the temperature in the ice-making chamber 1 rises, and ice is melted thereby. SOLUTION: An open-top ice-making chamber of collapsibly opening/closing type is provided independent from other storage chambers, and supports a lower part of door. The barrier-free refrigerator has a structure that a container is drawn out in an interlocking manner with the opening operation of the door, and ice which is the storage in the container can be taken to the proximal side.
