<p>A method of judging the risk of arterial sclerosis in which the tendency to crisis of arterial sclerosis, tendency to progress thereof, etc. can be accurately judged as the risk of arterial sclerosis to thereby enable use of the method in the prevention and treatment of arterial sclerosis; a kit for analysis of genetic polymorphism which is used in the judging of the risk, etc.; a device for judging the risk of arterial sclerosis; etc. The method of judging the risk of arterial sclerosis is characterized in that it comprises a risk determining step wherein the risk of arterial sclerosis attributed to genetic polymorphism is determined from the genetic type of genetic polymorphism of examinee on the basis of the risk of arterial sclerosis peculiar to a combination of a plurality of genetic polymorphisms, and that at least one of the combination of a plurality of genetic polymorphisms exhibits a significant positive association between the combination of a plurality of genetic polymorphisms and a level of thickening of carotid intima/media composite.</p> |
