<p>The present invention relates to a support plate (14) for fitting a vehicle part, which vehicle part exhibits at least two switch apertures each intended to be able to accommodate a switch. The support plate exhibits a substantially planar front surface (16) arranged to provide support for at least one object and/or holder device for an object, and at least two fastening means (18) each arranged to be inserted and retained in its respective unused switch aperture, whereby the support plate (14) when in use covers at least these two apertures.
