PURPOSE: A method for inputting a character, using a remote controller of a mobile communication terminal, is provided to input the character, using the remote controller, by adding the remote controller in the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: Several consonants associated with function buttons(1-5) of a remote controller correspond to the function buttons(1-5), so that the several consonants are successively outputted according to the number of push times. Alphabets capable of being combined with the vowels correspond to the other directional function buttons(5-9) associated with shapes of the vowels, for inputting a character.
