<p>A data-centric control system that overcomes the above and other disadvantages of traditional control systems. According to one embodiment, the data-centric control system includes: (a) a user input component (102); (b)a control engine (104); (c) a data repository (106); (d) an inspection/quality assurance system (108); and (e) a refinement or optimization engine (110). The user input component enables a user to define a process to be performed by the control engine and parameters to be used by the control engine in performing the process. The control engine is modular in design so that the data-oriented control system will have maximum flexibility.</p> |
