The invention relates to a polarisation splitter comprising a substrate which is provided with a pile of alternating layers of PrTiO3 and a material having a lower refractive index. The thickness of said layers e1 and e2 respectively satisfies the relations of the equations (I) and (II) wherein lambda represents the wavelength covered, n1 represents the refractive index of the first layer, and n2 represents the refractive index of the second layer. The invention also relates to a method for producing one such polarisation splitter. The inventive polarisation splitter can be used in an ophthalmic lens comprising inserts for projecting an image towards the user.
