A self metering dispensing device for dispensing a predetermined quantity of material from an aerosol container. First and second actuating members (31, 18) are pivotally connected to a housing (12) for the container and a nozzle actuating member (36) is connected to the first actuating member. A pneumati c member in the form of a cylinder (28) with a piston or a telescoping valve i s operatively associated with the first and second actuating members. A compressive force placed on the second actuating member (18) causes the nozz le activating member to contact the container (62) valve to dispense product fr om the container. A controlled metering of product is produced by an air (42) regulator connected to the pneumatic member.
