A sun-awning (1) is attached to the side of a building and when extended is supported by telescopic legs at the free corners, converting the awning into a marquee. The awning further has a set of diagonal telescopic legs which link the awing wall fixture and base of upright telescopic legs at the free corners and mid-points, together with side panels forming a tent.
