<p>The endless conveyor belt intermediate drive has an endless driving belt running between the top and bottom runs and in frictional contact with it on one or both runs. Each of the driving belt drums (24) is accommodated in its own mounting (12) movable in the lengthwise direction of the conveyor belt, this mounting extending over the bottom run of the latter, which it guides, in a portal shape. This mounting has a pair of lengthwise beams (33) overhanging it at both ends in the lengthwise direction of the conveyor belt, and equipped with sets of trough rollers (34) guiding and supporting both belts (1, 10). The mounting is situated in a gap in the conveyor belt supporting frame (8), whose length is more than double that of the beams.</p> |
