Sensing system for cable guided vehicle - uses first sensor at front of vehicle and second sensor close to rear axle improving guidance in curves

Guiding system is for a front-axle steered vehicle along a guiding cable carrying a.c. Two sensors in the longitudinal central plane of the vehicle detect the lateral deviation from the cable, one sensor being at the front of the vehicle. The second sensor (13, 14) is located between the front (2) and rear (7) axles of the vehicle. The second sensor may be between the longitudinal centre point (M) of the vehicle and its rear axle, and it is pref. immediately in front of the rear axle.
