A system, method, and computer product are adapted for providing network operational characteristics of a software application (112). Functions of a software application (112) are performed in a test network responsive to identifying the functions of the software application (112). The network operational characteristics, for example bandwidth and latency, of the software application (112) in the test network are analyzed, responsive to performing the functions of the software application (112) in the test network, to estimate network operational characteristics of the software application (112) in a production network.
