<p>A web browser is configured to store format preferences associated with favorite and historical URLs so that upon receiving a request for such a URL, a web page is fetched and displayed with the associated stored format preferences. The invention is especially useful with displays of less than optimum resolution such as television screens, cell phones, and personal data assistants where a user may have different preferred formats for different web sites.</p> |
