<p>An apparatus for wrapping hair strands with string or artificial hair (115) isdisclosed. The apparatus has a shell (140) that defines an axle (150) havingan opening (145). The axle (150) rotatably supports a drive wheel (160), aspool (105) of string (115) and a guide wheel (120). The drive wheel (160)engages the guide wheel (120). The string (115) passes from the spool (105)past the guide wheel (120), which has circumferential notches (135) to engageand play out the string (115). In practice, the user passes a hair strand(300) through the opening (145) in the axle (150), fastens the string (115) toa hair strand (300), energizes the apparatus, and moves it along the length ofthe hair strand (300) as the string (115) is wrapped about the strand (300).The apparatus is preferably powered by a small DC motor (175).</p> |
