The invention relates to a method for controlling the partial oxidation of a gas containing hydrogen sulfide with the aid of air and oxygen in a Claus furnace having a maximum hydrogen sulfide flow treatment capacity, wherein the flow of the flux of the gas containing hydrogen sulfide is measured; the flow of said flux is injected into the furnace via the air burner if the flow thereof is lower than the maximum treatment flow of the furnace, the flow of said flux being a linear function of the flow of the flux of the gas containing hydrogen sulfide; if the flow is higher than the maximum treatment flow of the furnace, it is injected into the furnace via the oxygen burner.
|
