<p>A method and an apparatus are disclosed for retrieving information transmitted with a first signal (ADSL), said first signal being affected by noise caused by a second signal (ISDN) transmitted over the same signal channel at the same time. The noise caused by the second signal is estimated so as to be able to retrieve the information transmitted with the first signal even if, at the beginning of the operation, no noise caused by the second signal should be present for carrying out a training procedure. The method and the apparatus are preferably employed in communication networks, in particular fixed-line communication networks. The first signal is preferably a DSL signal, and the second signal is preferably an ISDN signal.</p> |
