CHARGING UNIT FOR CELLULAR PHONES

A charging unit (1) comprises charging devices (3), contact devices (5) connected thereto to make electronic contact with mobile telephones, and holding devices (7) to hold mobile telephones in place. The contact devices (5) are built up of connectors (11) with adapter plugs (13) therein and the holding devices (7) are formed by holders (15) to hold mobile telephones (17) upright. Adapter plugs (13) are at the bottom of the holders (15) and make contact with the mobile telephone when it is placed in a holder. The holders (15) are behind slots (25) and are provided with guides (29) to hold the mobile telephones in the correct position during insertion. The slots (25) have lids (31) for closure. The lids (31) are self-closing and spring-loaded.
