The car bodywork comprises a support frame (3) and an outer cladding (2). This has a clip (21) at its base which fits into an aperture (22) in the frame and a lip (9) which fits into a multifunctional seating (10) acting as a seal and spacer and protection against abrasion. An Independent claim is included for a method for attaching the bodywork to a car chassis.
