Compositions for the control of animal tick or flea, containing as the active ingredient pyrazole compounds represented by the general formula (I) or salt thereof: (I) wherein T is -CH= or nitrogen; R<1> is hydrogen, halogeno, alkyl, alkoxy, linear alkoxycarbonyl, or t-butoxycarbonyl; X is oxygen, sulfur, -OCH2CO-, or alkylene; Y is optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted 5- or 6-membered heteromonocycle-alkylene, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted pyridyl, or optionally substituted pyrimidinyl; and R<3> and R<4> are each hydrogen, alkyl, or haloalkyl.
